Because of the strict sales promotion regulations governing this area, Sensodyne were unable to reward consumers who actually purchased their product but could encourage them to complete an on-line survey. This resulted in a prize draw with 510 winners receiving either $500 or $40 dental vouchers. A nationwide network of 500 dentists (endorsed by the NZ Dental Association) were recruited in order to deliver the customer experience. Result: General happiness for Sensodyne’s two most important groups of people; their customers and their dentists!
